1/2 Days

I don't know if this is true for schools in other areas, but here November seems to be the month for 1/2 days at the local elementary, middle, and high schools. The kids didn't have any half days in October and only 1 "no-school" day. In November however, they have 4 half days and 2 "no-school" days. What gives? I'm now dealing with panicky parents who are just realizing that they need to find care for their kids on those days. It's nice to be needed, but not cool when parents get angry with me for not being able to do it.
