Weekend of the To Do List

Well this is officially my last weekend before starting the summer schedule. I have a job for at least the next 2 weeks. I'll know about the rest of the summer on June 9th. Anyways, onto the do to list:

1. Go to Wal-Mart

2. Go to the grocery store

3. Deposit a check

4. Pay rent

5. Pay the electric bill

6. Wash the dishes

7. Clean the kitchen

8. Clean the bathroom

9. Clean the living room

10. Clean the bedroom

11. Do laundry

12. Put laundry away

13. Seperate and freeze the 8 lbs. of chicken & 4 lbs. of ground beef in my fridge

14. Sleep

The obvious goal is to get all of this done before Sunday at midnight. We'll see how it goes.

This Can't Be Happening

I'm ready to scream, cry, curl up in a ball, throw something, yell, and just altogether flip out. Goober's last day of school in on Friday. 3 days, 3 more days until I was supposed to start my summer schedule of 67 hours a week with her. 3 days...just 3 more days. Then, out of nowhere, my boss hits me with this:

"I might not need you for the month of June"

*insert jaw dropping here*

"and I'll know in the middle of June if I need you in July"

*insert sinking feeling in stomach here*

"and if I don't need you for June or July, I probably won't need you for August."

*insert internal panic mode here*

So basically, i will have NO income for June, possibly NO income for July, and if those 2 are true, NO income for August.

Are you kidding me?????????? I can make it *maybe* 6 weeks without a paycheck. That's a BIG maybe though. I'm stressed, frustrated, just don't know what to do. I'll know for sure about June this Thursday. I hate not knowing. I hate it even more than this is happening.

Memorial Day

Memorial Day always sneeks up on me every year. I've had issues with memorial day for quite awhile. It's a day to remember those who died in the line of duty. Fighting for our freedom. So why do most people have BBQ's, get togethers, and go to the parades so their kids can get candy? These things really annoy me. I don't go to BBQ's or get together's on memorial day. That's not honoring the men and women who died in the line of duty.

My immediate family has multiple people who served in the military. Some who died in the line of duty, others who made it back from overseas & lived their lives until passing away from natural causes. Those who made it back were changed forever. Just talking to them you can see the pain in their eyes of traumatic memories.

So with that being said, I would like to list my family members who have served our country:

1. Jeffrey Billings - Marines - Living

2. Kenneth Wyman - Army - Died of natural causes

3. Harold Dopp - Navy - Living

4. Richard Goff - Army - Died of natural causes

5. Keith Goff - Army - Died in the line of duty

6. Larry Goff - Navy - Died in the line of duty

When God is on your side

This kid amazes me sometimes. We were arguing about her putting her coat on to go outside. It's warm, but not THAT warm. So anyways, she shifts to conversation to heaven, and God. Here's the conversation:

Goober: You know sometimes God talks to me

Me: Really? ... Put your coat on

Goober: Yeah, I can hear him right now.

Me: Oh, okay. Put your coat on

Goober: Yep, he's saying "Cassidy you're right" Can't you hear him?

Me: No, I can't. Put your coat on or I'll put it on for you.

*sigh* I guess when God is on your side the other person just doesn't have a chance.

Tithe

After a lengthy, and slightly misguided debate about tithing with some 'friends' I've decided to tun to the blog world with some questions.

1. What is tithing to you?

2. If you tithe, why do you do it?

3. If you tithe, do you do it with money, or another way?

4. Percentage wise, how much do you tithe?

Leave your answers in the comments. You can comment annonymously if you don't want anybody to know what you said. I jsut really want to know what people out there in the real world think--not in this backwards town full of bobble-heads.
