No I Didn't Die....

For those of you who just had a sigh of relief, I LOVE YOU. And for those of you who's response was "awwwwwwwww..." well, we just won't say cause I needa keep this G rated. Anyways, an update...

- My friend's baby, Cameron Nicholas came into this world on October 16th at 9:40pm weighed in at a hefty 9lbs 2.9oz and 20.75 inches long. You can see a picture of the little bugger at this site. Just copy and paste---- http://www.growingfamily.com/webnursery/babypage_view.asp?URLID=0C3V2E2S2Z

- The man told me that he can pay me rent for Nov. and Dec. on December 1st. Needless to say my bank account looks anorexic right now since I had to pay all of it by myself until he can pay me back.

- Spanish class is getting worse and worse.

- The man works nights now. 10 hr shifts 4 days a week.

- I want somebody to explain to me how I'm working 20 hrs. a week at $2.50 an hr while the man is working 40 hrs. a week at $7.50 an hr, yet I'm still paying for more than he is. If you can explain that to me, bless you.

- The Christmas shopping had been put on hold because I have no money.

- My fridge is leaking.

- The girl I watch read her first book yesterday. I was so proud.

- It's snowing, and it's Halloween. Stupid weather.

- HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

It's Saturday Already?????

Where does the time go????? I think the little knomes come in at night and steal my time away...that's my theory at least. Anyways, here's an update:

My friend didn't have her baby yet. She was induced on Wednesday and had contractions for like 10 hours but she didn't dialate at all. They're going to try again on Monday. So hopefully we'll have a baby on Monday *crosses fingers*

I aced my Psychology test. And I got a D- on my Spanish test. That was a bit of a downer. I went and got a tutor for Spanish, so hopefully that will help.

My friend Erin came into town last night and didn't know where she was going to stay, she's staying here :) It's nice to have another woman in the house.

It snowed last night. Ick.

I've been working my tail off, but what's new?

My dad ran over a dead deer with his car and screwed his car up. He's okay though.

I broke down and turned the heat on low. It's more comfortable now, though not warm enough for me yet :)

No call backs for the job applications that the man put in yet. Keep your fingers crossed please cause we REALLY need the money.

I have way to many people to buy Christmas presents for. It was so much cheaper before I started babysitting again.

K I guess that's about it. Nothing too exciting, but alas...I'm still strapped for time. Have a good week!

Answers...

Here are my answers to the questions in the previous post...

1. What's your favorite day of the week and why?

Saturday, but only if I'm not working. The other days of the week I hate with a passion. M-F it's go go go doing mostly stuff that I don't like to do. And Sunday just means that Monday is just around the corner.

2. Do you usually walk to your destination or drive?

I try to walk but it's been so bloody cold here lately-(it's supposed to snow on Wed & Thurs)-that I've been driving.

3. What cartoons did you watch as a kid?

Gummi Bears, Gumby, CareBears.

4. If you were a Gumby fan, like I was, what was the name of Gumby's horse?

It was Pokey! Good job Bone!

5. What color was Gumby's horse?

Red. Good ole fire engine red. I miss that horse.

6. What was your favorite job that you ever had?

Hmmmm...probably my first professional nanny job. I had 2 kids and they were my world! The parents were oblivious to most of the stuff that their kids were doing-(for example, their son rolled over when he was 4 months old....they didn't see him roll over until 3 weeks later because they never spent any time with him.) I pretty much could do whatever I want, take them wherever I wanted to, and just enjoy them.

Okay, that's it :)

*yawn*

I'm tired. I'm staying at the house, of the little girl I watch, this weekend because her mom is out of town. Let's just say the little girl-(she's 5)-hasn't been taking it too well. It's not that she doesn't like me or anything, but I'm not mom and she has never stayed with anyone overnight that isn't family.

Yesterday I got her off the bus and she was happy as a little clam. We had snack and then I got her ready for dance. I went out to my car to put her carseat in it and I came back into the house to her crying at the kitchen table. She was crying because she missed her mom and didn't want to go to dance. I held her and we talked for a little while and she calmed down. I still made her go to dance class-(I know I'm mean)-and she had a great time.

She was fine throughout dinner and then we played one of her favorite board games-(and one of my least favorite)-and she was still pretty happy. I gave her a bath and put her to bed. She went to sleep okay, no crying or whining. I taped CSI for her mom and worked on some homework for class. I turned in about 11pm. I didn't sleep very well, even though I took 1/2 a sleeping pill....I just couldn't get into that deep sleep that you need in order to feel rested. My alarm went off at 6am because the dog had to go out. So I got up and let the dog out, when I came back in the house the little girl was awake...it was 6:10. She usually sleeps until 7:15. So she obviously didn't get enough sleep, but was happy enough. We had breakfast and she was very clingy, but not crying. I packed her lunch, dressed her, did her hair-(it's school picture day) and downed 4 cups of coffee before 7:30am. She got to watch cartoons, which she was thrilled about, because we had 45 minutes left before she had to be at school. I dropped her off at school and took my 2 exams at the university.

Now it's 12:30 and I'm whipped. I feel like I could sleep for another 6 hours, but I have to go pick her up at 3:30 and I have a meeting with the head of the psychology department at 1:00 in addition to having to let the dog out at 1:30. I'm hoping that she handles tonight okay without her mom because I don't know if I have enough energy to handle her tonight without her mom!

Okay, I'm done now.

Cough, Cough, Sniffle....

The fall cold has hit me, and hit me hard. Forgive my language but I feel like crap! All I want to do it crawl into bed and sleep for the next 6 hours. I would probably feel worse cold wise but at least I wouldn't feel so tired!

Now I knew that I would get sick soon, it always happens to me. My immune system is weak-(STILL!) and I'm anemic on top of it so the two of them combined = lots of colds. But this was probably the worst possible week of the semester so far to get sick. I have 3 tests this week and I'm working straight from Thursday at 4pm-Saturday at 2pm. It always happens that way doesn't it?

In other news, I'm 1/3 of the way done with my tests this week. I have 2 more on Friday, a written Spanish exam and the essay portion of my Psychology exam. I can't wait for the weekend...even though I have to get up early on Saturday because the child I watch doesn't sleep past 8am. I also have to do laundry and pack for my overnights with her. And I'm out of socks, I have no idea where they went. I think an emergency trip to Wally World is in order.

My friend hasn't had her baby yet. She's very emotional right now so the time is near, she's just frustrated with all of the hours of contractions that she had and still no baby. He's engaged in her pelvis now though so hopefully sometime before Sunday the baby will make his debut.

Not much else is going on here. I'm gonna go drink some tea now and take some vitamins to hopefully help me kick this cold before it gets too much worse.
